After a quiet exit of the recently phased out eighth generation Accord, Honda is planning to introduce the new ninth-gen Accord soon. The Accord will take on the likes of the Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry and the upcoming Volkswagen Passat in the premium executive sedan segment.
The ninth generation Honda Accord is tighter and more muscular than its predecessor. It looks like a evolution of the outgoing car but it is all new. The wheelbase is slightly shorter too to make it more agile, sits on fantastic 18 inch alloy wheels and the new car is said to be a lot stiffer than before as well. Honda aims to give the new Accord a lot more finesse. The interior is typically plus size with a large steering wheel, plenty of faux wood in the cabin and not one but two infotainment screens on the centre console. The instrument cluster gets a digital readout in the centre and is placed between three conventional dials.
