Set to be held between February 5-9, 2016, the Auto Expo 2016 will be bigger than ever with participation from over 100 exhibitors alone at the Motor Show in Greater Noida. While almost all the leading carmakers will take part in the show, some leading two-wheeler makers like Bajaj, Royal Enfield and Harley Davidson have decided not to be a part of the biennial event this year. Having said that, we’ll see several new two-wheeler makers at the event including UM Motorcycle, DSK-Benelli, Dhasan Moto and few others.

Here’s a list of 5 most awaited upcoming bikes that are likely to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2016

TVS Apache 200

In August 2015, TVS Motor company had announced to bring in two new products by the end of this fiscal. Though the Indian two-wheeler maker didn’t reveal the names of the motorcycles, they are expected to be – TVS Apache 200 and new TVS Victor. While the Victor will be a commuter, the Apache 200 will enter the fast growing 200cc that has some really capable products like Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and KTM Duke/RC 200. The Apache 200 is expected to take its design inspiration from the TVS ‘Draken’ concept that had made its debut at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. Power for the 200cc Apache will come from a 200cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which could be a bored out version of the Apache RTR’s 180cc unit.

UM Renegade cruiser range

UM Motorcycle, a US based two-wheeler maker, is planning to launch three cruisers under its popular Renegade range. Known for offering affordable cruisers and entry-level sportbikes, UM Motorcycles signed a strategic joint venture with Lohia Auto earlier this year. Under the agreement, a new company named UML was formed with a 50-50 partnership between the two companies. The three cruisers that the company is planning to launch under Renegade series are – Renegade Commando, Renegade Classic and Renegade Sport – all of which are likely to be manufactured locally at Lohia Auto’s facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand.

TVS-BMW G310R

TVS-BMW JV’s first ever motorcycle, G310R, is also expected to make its India debut at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The production-ready version of the 300cc motorcycle was revealed in November this year, and the same is expected at the Indian Auto Expo. The naked sportbike has been developed in Munich by BMW Motorrad with the help of TVS Motor Company, and it will be developed in house at TVS Motor Company’s Bengaluru based plant for the Indian market. The BMW G310R features an all-new 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine.

Hero HX250R

Unveiled as a concept at the 2014 Auto Expo, the production-ready version of the HX250R could be revealed at the upcoming edition of the Expo. Powering this quarter-litre fully-faired sportbike is a 249cc, single-cylinder engine that, coupled with a 6-speed gearbox, develops 31bhp and 26Nm. The company has developed this bike with the help of Erik Buell Racing (EBR).
